In our attempt to showcase terroir driven wines, Veritas (Truth) encapsulates the essence of the Niagara region. This reserve blend consisting of 33% Cabernet Franc, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 13% Syrah is indicative of the uncompromising nature of the 2007 Vintage. Rigorous vineyard and barrel selection resulted in a wine which delivers the fruit forwardness of cassis, red currants, plum and spice along with mocha and vanilla. Maturated for 22 months in seasoned French oak, this well balance Bordeaux inspired model has moderate alcohol and focus fruit within its core supported by plush tannins. Suitable for immediate enjoyment, this wine is a good candidate for mid-term cellaring and is ideal with big gamey fare or braised offerings.
